1. Rex Orange County

Alexander O'Connor better known as Rex Orange County is an English artist who grew up in England. Rex Orange County got its start on Soundcloud but ultimately blew up when they caught the eye of famous rapper Tyler The Creator. Tyler flew them out to LA so they could be featured on his song "Flower Boy". My favorite three songs from Rex Orange County are "Sunflower", "Loving is Easy" and "Corduroy Dreams".
2. Hippo Campus

Hippo Campus is a band from St. Paul, Minnesota that fits many genres from alternative to indie to rock. This band consists of Jake Luppen (vocals/guitar), Nathan Stocker (guitar/vocals), Zach Sutton (bass), Whistler Isaiah Allen (drums/vocals), and DeCarlo Jackson (trumpet). My favorite three songs from Hippo Campus are "Way it Goes", "Bambi" and "Violet".
3. Joji

George Miller, know as Joji got his start as a Youtuber under the username of Filthy Frank but later decided in December 2017 he wanted to make music instead. Joji released his first EP "In Tongues" which hit 58 on the Billboard 200 list. Joji is noted for creating a whole new style of music called lo-fi or trip hop. My favorite three songs from Joji are "Will He", "Slow Dancing in the Dark", and "Yeah Right".
4. King Princess

Mikaela Straus is the American singer/songwriter that is behind King Princess. In February 2018 she released her debut single "1950" which is a homage to the LGBTQ community because Mikaela herself is a lesbian and wanted to help other LGBTQ people with her music. This song "1950" went viral and Harry Styles even tweeted part of the lyrics. King princess is viewed as a gay icon for the LGBTQ community. My favorite three songs from King Princess are "1950", "Pussy is a god", and "Talia".
5. Gus Dapperton

Brendan Rice the singer and songwriter is better known as Gus Dapperton. Gus is from Warwick, NY and went to Drexel University but took a semester off to go on tour. Gus is known for his different fashion style which he showcased in his viral music videos. My favorite songs by Gus Dapperton are "Moodna, Once and Grace", "Prune, You Talk Funny", and "I'm Just Snacking".
