We would rather be inside on our phones and video games, then being outside socializing in person and playing with friends.
Society today is too dependent on technology. People do everything from their phones, computers, and tablets. I see people walking or sitting and they are always on their phones and they are walking around like mindless zombies, maybe this is our zombie apocalypse.
People do everything from their phone and they don't even have to leave their house, they can have take out, groceries and all home goods delivered to their home, and they don't have to leave the comfort of their couch. But is this making society lazier?
People have a hard time just going out and meeting people face to face, all they want to do is text or if they're looking for a date they swipe right. It's one thing if you are using face-time to talk to family and friends that live farther away and that is the only way to talk to and see them.
But if you want to meet people, you need to take a shower get dressed in big people clothes and PJs do not count and go to a club, bar if your legal, coffee shops, movie theaters, take a walk in the park just get out a socialize in person get that interaction that we need as people, your phone or tablet can't give you a hug or any other physical contact.
There was a study done where people were asked if society is too dependent on technology, and the results said that 77% said they believe that people relied on technology way too much, and kids are on their tablets, video game systems way too much and are inside more then they are outside.
The study showed that 75% of kids are staying indoors playing video game, and this is not helping our childhood obesity issue, kids are less active just like adults are and if they see adults doing something such as being on their phone or playing games all the time then they are going to think that's ok and do it as well.
I remember when I was a kid growing up in the 90s that I was outside all the time, I never wanted to be in the house, I wanted to climb trees play with my animals and just run around and have fun outside in the fresh air they were even building forts outside and that's how all the kids were.
Everywhere you looked kids were on their bikes, skateboards, skates and the local public pool and playing sports you don't see that today. Now I have 3 boys and my 9 and 5-year-olds do like to play a video game here and there, and I limit it, and they love camping and hiking, we are going on a camping trip this weekend and its all about unplugging.
Society has a hard time unplugging they can't go without their phone it's like it's glued to their face. We need to get out more, going on hikes and camping trips go to the beach, stop worrying about all the likes and friends you get on social media, worry about making human interaction outside of your phone and a physical connection.
So come on people. Get out, turn off your phone and unplug, and if you want to document your travels, then that should be the only thing you use your phone for. Turn it on airplane mode and not upload anything to social media till you get back from your trip, or you can go old school and use a DSLR camera and write down in a journal about what you see and how your trip is.
Kids need to get out and play with their friends outside play a sport, tag, red rover, or shit just run around in a circle as long as you outside Just get out of the house and away from technology.
Adults need to do the same now maybe not tag or red rover but talk to someone that is not on the phone interact with a real person face to face, run in the park with friends just do something that is outdoors and with real people. Society feels like they have to document everything they do and eat, they have forgotten how to just live.
