A Letter To Me: What I Wish I'd Known
Looking back, I wish I had known to not worry what others think about me.
If people can't handle you at your worst, they aren't worth handling your best. Don't give someone power over you, so as to manipulate your actions and changing yourself for their benefit.
It's okay that you're single. Use what God gave you, and let Him take care of you. God has perfect timing. He will teach you in the waiting. I promise it's worth the wait.
When God says "be still and listen", do it.
You are prayed for. You have people praying for you – your mother, your church leaders, your future spouse. Let this humble your heart, and grow an appreciation for all those around you, and the relationships you will have!
Don't dwell in the past. Let pain that once hurt you grow you, instead of slowing you down. When people frustrate you, remember to take a deep breath and not jump to conclusions. It's okay to not be right all the time.
Looking back, I wish I had known to not worry what others think about me. Don't base what you wear off trying to please others. If they don't like you for who God made you be, they probably are not worth the effort to be around or seen with.
Live free! Be who the Lord made you be! There will be rough days, but God is next to you every step of the way! Go get 'em out there!
Sincerely,
Me
