My First Visit At Vapiano's, And I Did Not Want To Leave
How a German franchise has earned a special place in my heart for food.
If you are an obsessive foodie like me, you have got to give Vapiano's a try. The first ever Vapiano's opened its doors to people on Oct. 22, 2002, in Hamburg Germany. Since then, this Franchise has expanded to more than 200 locations in 33 countries — 12 of those locations in the United States. Chicago is lucky to have three of those locations in the city, and the first time I ate there was amazing. The food ranges from pasta, to pizzas, coffees, and wine.
One evening, my friends and I decided to go get some food together. We would normally get Chipotle or some other fast food joint, but we got tired of it and we wanted to try something different. One of my friends suggested Vapiano's. The rest of the group including myself were unaware of this franchise since we wanted to try something new we ate there. As soon as I walked in, I knew we made a smart move to come to eat here. To start off, the restaurant had a variety of seating arrangements. From coffee tables to coaches, normal tables, and booths, there was a good variety which is important since it offers a unique dining experience. Also, as soon as people place in the order, the chefs and cooks are shown making the food which is a good thing to see since the food is fresh, and is not processed or refrigerated.
I ordered the Pollo Picante which is a pasta dish that includes chicken breasts, orange-chili sauce, bell peppers, and bok choy. Not only did I enjoy my food, but I LOVED it! Me and my other friends ordered different foods off the menu, and we all were amazed by how the food tasted. I realized we are really lucky to live in a city with such an appreciation for the food culture. Besides the food, the company of my friends is what also made my first experience at Vapiano's success. It is so nice getting the chance to talk over our week over some yummy food as well.
As we were getting ready to leave, a chef came over to our table and asked us how our experience was, and we just mentioned and bragged about how the food was amazing. This act of kindness really shows how the staff at Vapiano's cares about the customers. As soon as we paid our bill, we left, and I wanted to eat here again. Until then, Vapiano's will always be calling me whenever I am hungry for some pasta.
