SZA's "Drew Barrymore"

The singer releases new music which hopefully means a new album.

It’s been almost three years since SZA has released Z, her 2014 EP. This past week she released a new single titled “Drew Barrymore”. In the song she talks about the insecurities she feels especially within this relationship she has with this particular person mentioned in the song. The person that she talks about in the song seems to disregard her emotions and who she is as a person which seems to make her unsure of herself. The lyrics seem to be issues that many girls today feel as far as feeling inadequate. With this tune, SZA gives us a hint of what her album has to offer which seems to be insightful lyrics accompanied by her signature smooth vocals.

Last year there seemed to be issues between SZA and Top Dawg Entertainment about when her album would be released. With the release of this new single it seems as though whatever issues there were have been solved. Now all there is to do is wait and see what other gems SZA has for her fans.
