Dear Student,

You are going to do amazing things this school year, you are capable of doing anything you put your mind to. You are going to struggle, you are going to cry, but you are going to shine.

Do Not Worry

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6 (NLT)

I know it is easy to worry, child. I know that you are going to have days in which you worry from the time you open your eyes until the time you end your day. However, come to me and I will always put your mind at complete ease.

I Care About You

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 1:7 (NLT)

I will always care about you. I care about how your day is, your struggles, and what you see as important. Give your worries to me, together we can conquer it all.

Take On One Day At A Time

So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34 (NLT)

Instead of worrying about the next 15 weeks of your semester, take it on one week at a time, one day at a time, one hour at a time, one task at a time. When you overwhelm yourself, you will find it more difficult to succeed.

I Have Big Plans For You

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

It may seem as if you have loads of bumps and trials heading towards your way, you may feel that you can't catch a break. However, I have a plan for you. Plans to use your gifts you have been given to prosper and grow in this life. Trust me.

Your Story Is Already Written

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:16 (NLT)

Each chapter of your story has already been written. Each chapter is special and unique just for you! Take pride in this, share your story with others, look back at your past chapters and realize how far you've grown, you've gotten through this many... keep reading.

You Are Strong

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)

No matter how your story has been written so far, you have overcome many situations that have made you who you are today. Even on your weakest and most difficult days, you are a strong student who will get through it all. Press into me and I will give you strength.

People Are Going To Fail You

Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord. Jeremiah 17:5 (NLT)

You will only be let down when you put your trust into earthly objects and individuals. College is a time to make new friends and surround yourself with amazing individuals, keep at it! However, put your trust in me and I will never fail you.

I Will Always Forgive you, You Should Forgive Yourself, Too.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)

Be kind to yourself. You are going to make mistakes. You are going to sin. You are going to let yourself down. However, each and every morning, you are given a fresh start. Take this time to forgive yourself and one another.

You Are incredible, Never Forget That

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14 (NLT)

I am here cheering you on, day in and day out. I cannot wait to see all that you do this school year, I am so proud of you. Go move mountains.

Sincerely,

God

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
