I don't know about you, but I used to not know what Sia's deal was. When I first heard that Sia refused to show her face in public, my first thought was: diva. I didn’t know what it was. Publicity stunt? Trying too hard to be a prima donna? I wasn’t sure. I was curious, but not curious enough to look into it. That was until The Grammy Awards of 2015. When it was announced that Sia was going to be performing, I thought, finally, this lady is about to be a real live celebrity.

Nope.

My roommates and I stared at each other in disbelief and then turned to Google. The answer? Diva she is not.

Rather, she is an unlikely celebrity trapped in a life of fame. Sia is just some chica with a boatload of talent, a killer voice and a tragic history.
