My last Colorado article had me feeling some nostalgia, so here are five places you should go in Boulder, if you haven’t yet. Yes, some are predictable. Yes, these are my favorite places in BoCo...

5. Boulder Dushanbe Tea House

If you have no idea what this is, google it and be prepared to be mesmerized. Whenever I go here, I feel a sort of inner peace. Don't forget to get a blooming tea!

(aha I know that photo doesn't show the beauty that is the teahouse, but hey isn't it cute)

4. The Sink

Honestly, I didn’t start going to The Sink until my senior year (a sin, I know), but man it is just good classic boulder. The low ceilings, watching the staff, Sunday all day happy hour and Monday Flip night really made this place a memory for me. Some of my best selfies came from there- you don't believe me?

(Try and top those.)

3. The Spot

Yes, this is an actual place, a climbing gym! Go and try bouldering at The Spot in ... Boulder of all places. The Spot is the first bouldering gym in the country, and once you go you’ll be hooked. The sport is fun, the music is cool and the staff is great. It’s the hobby you never knew you needed.

2. Half Fast Subs

Everyone who knows me, knows I WORSHIP Half Fast. I can’t help it, Half Fast and I just have real chemistry. Seriously, this place turns into a fun dive bar on The Hill at night, and I must say it’s my favorite. Cheap drinks, a chill atmosphere, college paraphernalia everywhere, patio seating, what else could anyone else want?

(lol yes I took a graduation picture there)

1. Flagstaff Mountain- Lost Gulch Lookout

Whoa, all the pictures I’ve had taken at the Lookout Spot on Flagstaff Mountain look like postcards. The views are INCREDIBLE. If you thought Boulder was beautiful before, you’ll seriously be shook after.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
