Do you ever get infuriated with someone when they tell you what to do? And no, I'm not talking about your boss or your parents or authority figures. I'm talking about just an average person who has no business telling you what you can do. I let people tell me what to do for my entire life, and now it's my turn to decide what I want.

I'm 22 years old, and you can't tell me what to do. I'm an adult. I'm responsible and I know how to carry myself. Nine times out of 10, I'm going to make the right decision. And if I don't, get over it. Life is about making mistakes and learning from them. SO LET ME BE ME.

If I want to eat that much food, LET ME.

If I want to watch that show until 4 a.m., LET ME.

If I want to ride around in my car until 2 a.m., LET ME.

If I want to buy those shoes, LET ME.

If I want to get something pierced, LET ME.

If I want to buy a new car, LET ME.

If I want to buy that dress, LET ME.

If I want to wear leggings as pants, LET ME.

If I want to laugh super loud, LET ME.

If I want to take off work one day, LET ME.

If I want to walk around in sweatpants and a big T-shirt, LET ME.

If I want to walk out the house with messy hair, LET ME.

If I want to barely do my makeup, LET ME.

If I want to listen to Kevin Gates in MY car, LET ME.

If I want to be alone, LET ME.

If I want to get medicine to make me less depressed, LET ME.

If I want a second serving of food at supper, LET ME.

If I want to eat all the carbs, LET ME.

If I want to sing at the top of my lungs, LET ME.

If I want to talk to someone you don't approve of, LET ME.

IF I WANT TO DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, LET ME.

You not getting your way with MY life doesn't mean I'm defiant or rebellious. It simply means that I've decided to live life for myself. I'll decide what I can and cannot do, not you. The last time I checked, this is MY life. And I'll live it how I see fit. It is not your place to tell me what to do.
