Lorelai and Rory Gilmore: the pop-culture obsessed, fast-talking, beautiful and inspirational duo that has filled our lives with laughter since 2000. They know, understand, and even have advice for all our stresses. Their words are useful for all times of life, but especially the time students dread the most: finals week.

You're at a time in your life when you're making connections, leaving good impressions on the people who could one day be your bosses, but you're absolutely exhausted. Do you dress up? Do you put forth the effort to look even remotely appealing? It's the end of the semester, and grades are your main focus!

Monday: the first day of the terrible week. Nobody likes the average Monday, so this one is even worse. It's only the beginning, and there is so much to do! The Gilmore Clan is in solidarity with you, Mondays are bad, and you just have to make it through!

So how do you get your day started? How do you make it through it all? The first and obvious solution: Coffee!

Even if you're fully prepared, early morning tests are not always fun! Even if you have the coffee, not everyone wants to start off the day with a bunch of difficult questions that he/she may or may not know the answer to. I get it. Rory gets it. Everyone gets it. You're not alone. It's okay to not be enthused about morning tests.

It's your last time together, and your study group is getting off course. There's been so much work and so many presentations, and everyone is eager for the holidays, for the break. You have to get it together, one more time!

One of the most annoying situations is when that know-it-all kid who has their life together walks in. They are ready to go, ready for this test, and ready for the rest of their life! And, they won't shut up about it! It's an eye-rolling moment, the Gilmore girls get it. Accept where you are at, and keep on keeping on.

The one thing you need yet the one thing you forget about: sleep. There's so much to do and those people who have their lives together are intimidating. I know it may seem like a waste of time, like it's not important, but make the time to sleep, at least a little bit. You'll appreciate it so much in the end.

You've chosen to binge-watch Netflix and Hulu. You've chosen to fix an elaborate meal. You've chosen to wash all of your dirty clothes, take out the trash, wash all the dirty dishes, etc. Anything but study. Stop it, now. Stop procrastinating. Get a jump on things. It's beneficial in the long run.

You've been hitting the books so hard that they may begin to look like you: a chaotic mess of papers. If anyone understands books, it's Rory. Take care of them in case they are of more use in the future.

One last paper. It's most likely the longest and most intricate of the papers. And of course, it also counts for the greatest percentage. The pressure is on. If the words aren't coming to you, stop and take a minute. Think. Research. It'll be fine, the words will flow. So, don't fling yourself off buildings, it'll all be okay.

Once again, because it's important to many students, a solution to most of your issues: COFFEE!

Once it's over, what do you do next? Where do you go from here? You've done so much, worked so hard, what is left to do? Lorelai and Rory have tons of ideas!

Your parents love you and miss you. So, when you go back home, keep the complaints to a minimum. Put some cheer and pep in your step, and put your worries aside because finals are over. Accept the love and the free food with a gracious smile! The people who care the most just want to see you happy.

Rory, Lorelai, and all the friends and family of the Gilmore girls understand. It can be a tough life students live. Hard classes, lots of work, and difficult finals. The pressure is on. Take their advice, learn from their experiences, and enjoy the entertainment that is the Gilmore Girls!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
