Feeling Alive: A Poem

You should enjoy this natural mirth. Let your fingers dig into it.

Reach down deep.

Get lost in the feel of the Earth.

Feel the moist dirt in your hands.

Allow it to go between your fingers.

Soggy, smushy, smooth, and soft.

Walk barefoot when you are able.

Dig your toes into the sand.

The healing properties of the Earth

you will feel without a doubt.

Less pain, less stiffness, less stress.

The energy of serenity

you will be awarded

by Mother Nature herself.

You should enjoy this natural mirth.

Let your fingers dig into it.

Allow your mind to run free.

Free from negativity, despair.

And just feel the Earth.

Feel alive.

I remember how exciting summer was when I was a kid. I would just be eagerly waiting for school to end so that I could fly to some exotic location with my family for the summer. Or hang out with my friends every day. Or just lay around in bed or read, paint, draw, basically do whatever.
