And Then, Fall Stayed

Hey readers! Fall is upon us, and I am feeling it all over the place- trees turning ever so slowly or the wind providing a small chill. This week's poem isn't one I overthought; I merely let the feelings of the approaching season inspire me to write this. I hope everyone feels that this keeps your mind at ease, even if for a little while. Peace and love to everyone always!

The leaves were waiting

To shed from green to hues of

Gold, red, and orange

How long they've waited to

Feel like how the autumn remains

In the blue sky and the earth

It peels away the heat of summer

Like the quelling of a fire's embers

Making everyone remember
