If you're looking for a pick-me-up, this isn't it. If you're looking for a bright, cheery solution to all your problems, this isn't it. But if what you're looking for is an empathetic heart, a listening ear, and an understanding soul, this is it.

I'm gonna be real with you -- life hurts so terribly badly sometimes. Lately I've been crying at every tiny thing that bothers me, and that aggravates me so much! I hate to cry, but I've been so upset recently that I can't seem to do anything but cry.

Have you ever felt that way? You've been so mad and angry that you just break down? Or maybe you are so hurt you're just overcome with a weird sense of calm. Sometimes I think it's pointless to be upset because it's not gonna actually help anything... but I've learned that it's better to express yourself than let it build and build until it just blows up. If that's you, take it from me- find a way to get out your frustrations. Cry, work out, color, journal, talk to someone, pray, do whatever you have to do in order to get through the day.

We all have our days. Sometimes, it seems like life can punch us right in the face and then kick us when we're down. Sometimes these rough days are even consecutive, but we can all power through. If there's anything I've learned though all my struggles, it's that we're all stronger than we think. Sometime I don't think I have the emotional strength to make it through to the next day. But guess what happens? I wake up the next morning, and I thank God for blessing me with another day to fight the good fight.

So even if you feel like you're all alone, fighting your battles with no help or support at all, just know that there's someone out there that knows how you feel. There's someone out there who struggles just like you, and is praying that God gives you the strength to power through.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
