Boston's TD Bank North Garden got very lucky with the Views it was given on this past Wednesday, August 10th.
To some people a concert is somewhere to have fun and sing along to the songs from the artists, that we, as fans, idolize and love to listen to. But to others, concerts are art, which they certainly should be looked at as. It’s truly beautiful to think that one artist can bring so many diverse people together to sing in harmony to songs that mean something different to each one of us as listeners. Even though the lyrics we sing are all the same, each listener depicts the lyrics in his or her own way depending on their certain life experiences and what we have been through, whether it’s love, loss, or problems we have dealt with/currently are dealing with. That no matter where you live, or where you’re from, or even what you believe in, you can sing all the lyrics to “One Dance”, “Too Good”, or “Controlla” and move aside everyone’s differences to enjoy good music; it truly is an amazing experience to realize the power music has on people.
The concert itself was definitely an event to remember. At Boston's very own, TD Bank North Garden, the atmosphere was cool and energizing, everyone you sat around made sure to enhance that experience, making you feel as if you’ve known them your whole life when you were all singing “Grips on your legs/Front way, back way/ You know that I don’t play”.
Drake was the main attraction to this concert, but we can’t forget about Future and his catchy songs as well. The whole concert was just as good as promised… truly Faithful. It brought everyone together and made everyone happy, forgetting about the problems and stresses life throws at each and every one of us, making this the ultimate experience of happiness and joy.
Drake and Future were great performers, without their charisma and liveliness that was so contagious to all of us viewers, this concert wouldn’t have been nearly as good as people would think it is. Viewers don’t realize that these artists could easily go out and just sing their songs and barely interact with the audience and still have a good time but, as performers they were so into their own music and seeing that made the audience feel more invited to dance and sing just like them.
Witnessing them dance to their own songs and touching some people’s hands to show that they are humans too, doing what they love and entertaining people through their hard work and passion they put into their songs and performances to show their appreciation for their millions of fans worldwide that gathered in Boston to see them do what they love. At the end of the concert, everyone left knowing that was something they will never forget.
Witnessing someone’s success inspires others to work hard for their own and create a legacy that people will never forget, just like Drake and Future. These concerts are more than just entertainment, they are gateways to finding happiness, inspiration, and most importantly setting aside everyone’s differences to enjoy the R&B music we all learned to love and cherish.
