Why I Want To Do The Disney College Program

As the great Walt Disney said, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” The Disney College Program is simply that: a dream. Every college-aged Disney lover has probably thought about how wonderfully magical the Disney College Program would be, but not everyone is lucky enough to live out that fantasy. I sincerely hope that I have the opportunity to pursue this extraordinary experience. “All of my wishes would come true.” Here are just a few reasons why I aspire to take part in the Disney College Program.

1. The Experience

Working in Walt Disney World is unimaginable. It is only an inconceivable vision within my mind. The experience I would get from working in Disney World could not be easily compared to any other past, present or future job opportunities. The Walt Disney World company is outstanding. They have created a name that speaks for itself. Being able to take part in this amazing company would be an honor, and of course magical.

2. Breaking Out Of My Comfort Zone

Moving 1,000 miles away is something I never thought I would be able to do. Bursting out of my comfort zone and into the Disney College Program would benefit my inner self in so many ways. It will help me to become more confident, and it will certainly help me to grow to be more independent. What better place to do it in than Walt Disney World, the happiest place on earth?

3. The Fun

Who could forget about the fun? That is what Disney World is all about, of course. Not all internships and work opportunities have to be boring. Going into the Disney College Program, you know that there will definitely be an overwhelming amount of fun involved. That is a fact. There is no doubt in my mind that this program will be a blast.

4. Meeting New People

Most people go through life knowing the same people, from the same town. This is where utilizing every single moment in college counts. The Disney College Program attracts a variety of diverse people coming from all over the United States and even the world. This is the ultimate opportunity. Branch out!

5. Parks, Parks, Parks

I know where I will be spending most of my time. Honestly, who can really say this isn’t what they are looking forward to the most? Everyone applying to this program knows how much joy emanates throughout these magnificent parks. Being able to freely roam around the parks in my down time is an absolute dream. It would be never-ending fun.

6. The Magic

No explanation needed.

I am hopeful about my acceptance into the Disney College Program. I know so much awaits me at that friendly Walt Disney World gate. I cannot wait for the moment that I finally arrive. See you real soon!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
