The ocean is full of interesting creatures, and it seems that the deeper you go, the harder it gets to predict what you might find! Here are 10 deep sea creatures that look nothing like the animals we're so used to seeing on land.

1. Japanese Giant Spider Crab

If you thought spiders were creepy, get ready to meet the giant spider crab. They're like the tarantulas of the sea. It's a good thing they tend to only be found at the bottom of the ocean.

2. Dumbo Octopus

Okay, this one's actually kind of cute. The way he swims around looks just like the way Dumbo the elephant flies with his ears! In fact, that's where it got its name.

3. Ghost Shark

Although shark is in its name, this rare fish is actually a Chimaera!

4. Frilled Shark

Researchers believe that these are the creatures that people have mistaken for mythical sea serpents. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised. They look like sea serpents to me!

5. Gulper Eel

In my opinion, Gulper Eels are far more terrifying than the snakes on land that they so closely resemble.

6. Vampire Squid

These squids can turn inside out to reveal a spiky underside to defend themselves!

7. Bobbit Worm

These worms can grow up to 10 feet in length! They also have a VERY strange story behind their name (check out the video to learn more, but be warned, it's a pretty gross story).

8. Deepstaria Enigmatica Jellyfish

This jellyfish could almost be mistaken for a balloon or a plastic bag, but don't be fooled, this is a real living creature.

9. Viperfish and Deep Sea Anglerfish

Viperfish and deep sea Anglerfish make adorable lanterns seems a little more menacing.

10. Wolffish

With a name like "wolffish", we should have known they would be terrifying. There are even some species of Wolffish found in freshwater rivers!

We've only explored about 5% of the ocean, so who knows what else might be lurking out there, be it cute or downright terrifying!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
