11 Throwback Childhood Cartoon Shows That Were the Best, Compared to the Cartoons Today

I am happy that I grew up watching the cartoons that I watched. I cannot say that cartoons today can compare to what they were before. There were a lot of perks to being a 90s baby! Let me bring you back in time to some of our cartoons that we enjoyed watching.

1. Spongebob Squarepants

Giphy
Spongebob: "Hey Patrick"
Patrick: "What?"
Spongebob: "I thought of something funnier than 24."
Patrick: "Let me hear it."
Spongebob: "25"

2. Dexter's Laboratory

Giphy
Dexter: "Dee Dee!! Get out of my laboratory!!"

3. Jimmy Neutron

Giphy
Carl: "Hey, this astronaut food isn't too bad."
Jimmy: "That's toothpaste, Carl."
Carl: "Oh. Minty."

4. Ed, Edd n Eddy

Giphy
Eddy: "You know what they say: A little childhood trauma builds character."

5. Hey Arnold!

Giphy
[Arnold, sees Gerald praying]
Arnold: "I didn't know you were so religious. Gerald: Neither did I."

6. Codename: Kids Next Door

Giphy
Numbuh 86: "Of all the stupid things in the stupid world of stupid people acting stupid, you boys are the stupidliest!"

7. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

Giphy
Billy: "Ask me a question. Give me a challenge."
Grim: "Who developed the theory of relativity?"
Billy: "That is a trick question, Grim; everyone knows fruit bats are mammals."

8. Tom and Jerry

Giphy

THIS WAS MY FAVORITE CARTOON OF ALL TIME!

9. Courage the Cowardly Dog

Giphy

This show was very tweaked me out!

10. Johnny Bravo

Giphy
Johnny: "Enough about you, let's talk about me, Johnny Bravo."

11. CatDog

Giphy
Dog: "Don't worry, Cat. They're not laughing with you; they're laughing AT you!"

I definitely did not list all the great shows that we had back in the days, but I gave you all a good idea. By far, Tom and Jerry was one of my favorites because I thought it was so funny! I wish I can go back in time and relive my childhood memories. When we all had no worries and stresses. All we looked forward to was eating, sleeping, watching cartoons and playing outside.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.

Yes, the math major is doing a math-related post. What are the odds? I'll have to calculate it later. Many people have probably learned about the Fibonacci sequence in their high school math classes. However, I thought I would just refresh everyone's memories and show how math can be beautiful and apply to physical things everywhere around us with stunning examples.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.
