Before the school year ends, there are a lot of things that must be done. Here's the beginning of your to-do list for the last three weeks.

1. A not-so-fun thought, but you’re going to have to study for exams.

The semester is almost over! I know you’ve been working really hard, but there are still a few papers, exams, presentations, or art pieces to finish. It’s a really overwhelming and stressful time, so start small! Set a time to look over your class notes or make a study group. Make a list of all of the steps you need to complete to finish out the year and then do them one at a time (and continue to get sleep!)

2. Make sure to have one last fun daytime outing with your friends.

Since you hang out with them every day, you might feel like you have plenty of time to spend with them, but the days are going to go by so much faster than you think it will. Some ideas: Have a nice afternoon/evening long picnic, go for a hike or bike ride, or explore a new area of town.

3. Make a start of summer playlist.

This can be a nice study break during exam week that'll relax you for your final's week stress, as well as the long car/plane ride back home or wherever you'll spend the next three months.

4. Thank someone who's been an influential part of your year.

Whether it's a friend, professor, parent, or someone you don't know very well but admire, let them know you've appreciated them this year. I know it sounds cheesy, but it will be a nice connection to make and it will stay with that person forever and it can be something they think back on fondly that can really help in times of need.

5. Find as many dogs as you can.

We should always pet as many puppies as possible.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
