5 Reasons To Love Orlando Bloom

On Thursday, May 25th I silently counted down the hours and minutes until I could get into my car in the direction of home. I had been anticipating that day for weeks and was even prepared well in advance for it. To clarify - I went and saw Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. I will in no means spoil the movie for those of you that have yet to see it - however, you should know that they bring a very special character back to the series (I say special because I have been obsessed with their story and their overall career). Yes, they bring Orlando Bloom back. I seriously recommend watching this last movie, although I could go for another one, it was exactly the type of Jack-ness that was needed.

In lieu of OB returning - here are the reasons he is wonderful and will always have my ultimate admiration:

1. He is Beautiful

Even if you are not attracted to men, you can appreciate the adorable nature of this attractive man's face.

2. He does his own stunts

Although this has ended in injury on several occasions throughout his career (he virtually has broken every bone in his body at some point), he still worked through it and completed the films - he was THAT dedicated.

3. He gives 110% every time

Although there are definitely more noteworthy moments in his career (POTC, LOTR, The Hobbit, and even Troy) I feel Elizabethtown was one of the crown jewels. I remember watching this movie, and I personally thought it was terrible. That didn't stop him from giving a stellar performance. It's not his fault the movie wasn't great.

4. Them Eyes Though

I am a huge fan of Green eyes, truly. I have fantasized about having them myself (I have blue-grey eyes), but this man... his brown eyes get to me in. I always feel like I am looking into the chocolate heavens.

5. Elf-Envy

He was literally trained in archery. This role stirred an entire movement of children in the UK signing up to attend archery classes/school.

Overall OB will always have my heart (although I severely judge how many middle names his son has... seriously go look it up), and I will always see him as a Pirate. He is an excellent and kind actor. He has always been generous and grateful towards his fans and the roles given to him. Here's to another year of his work and much more to come!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
