This one is for all of the Halloween lovers out there. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been waiting since, dare I say it, last October for this moment to come again. Halloween lovers everywhere can relate to these four emotional stages of getting ready for Halloween next month.
Stage 1: Excitement
If you’re like me, the next month will be horror movie central, and you can’t wait. Halloween stores are finally starting to open back up, so you can buy your costume without being judged too harshly. And candy, so much candy.
Stage 2: Stressed
What if you pick the wrong costume? What if the store is out of your size? What if the store is, god forbid, OUT OF CANDY??? Oh no, my jack-o-lantern's smile is crooked. Did I mention we only have ONE month to make this perfect???
Stage 3: Angry
Did that girl on Twitter just say she was going out dressed as the same thing you are? Did she not get the memo that you had dibs? Um, where did the candy go? Did my roommate eat it all? Oh no, someone took the decorations down, too.
Stage 4: Sadness
Because once Halloween is over, you’ll have to wait a whole 365 days until it comes around again, and you’re just not ready for that to happen.
