25 Thoughts College Kids Have The Month Before Fall Semester
The World Race

I don't really know how it's happening, but it seems like summer is winding down???

I don't understand, and I don't like it.

So in honor of my denial of the end of summer, I decided to write down my thoughts...

1. How is it almost time to go back to school??

2. …I’m not even tan yet

3. I should really be working out with all of this free time that I have left

4. I still have a stack of books that I want to read

5. I should really hang out with my home friends while I'm here

6. Only a couple more weeks of my summer job thooo

7. I need to update my wardrobe for school this year

8. **Online shops for 8 hours**

9. Not gonna lie, I'm ready to not live with my parents

10. But I do like having home-cooked meals every night...

11. Why did I even unpack all of my clothes if I just need to pack them all up again?

12.I need a nap just thinking about doing the whole "college moving" process again

13. I really miss my college friends :'(

14. I really miss all my sorority sisters :'(

15. Another year of fun date nights!!

16. Wait, we have a date night the second week of school????

17. 911, I have an emergency

18. Better start looking for a date now, just to be safe

19. Ugh, I'm going to be so busy once school starts back up

20. I don't even wanna think about all the homework 2

1. I swear this year I'm gonna get that 4.0

22. lol

23. Having a positive attitude is the first step to success, right?

24. School is about a month away, I'll worry about everything later

25. Not like I'm counting down the days or anything...

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

college students waiting in a long line in the hallway

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
