"Walk slower, I dare you."

20 Thoughts Fast Walkers Have When Stuck Behind Slow Walkers

During my summer away from college, I forgot how much walking I do between going to my dorm, to class, to Starbucks to the library, so needless to say, I do a lot of walking in a day. As a self-proclaimed fast walker (and a girl who gets told to slow down by various friends), it's one of my biggest pet peeves to be behind a slow walker. Seriously, I just don't understand how people walk so slowly, and how I manage to get stuck behind these snails at least 3 times a day (and usually when I'm running late, just my luck). So here are 20 thoughts I have when I get stuck behind a slow walker.

1. Oh my god PLEASE walk faster. PLEASE.

2. Can you REALLY not move your legs any faster?

3. I don't think you could walk any slower if you tried to.

4. I have places to go, eye contact to avoid, people to not talk to. Don't want to miss out on any of that.

5. Come on, come on. Hey now! Hey! Look alive.

6. :(

7. Are your legs made of lead or something? Is that why your feet are shuffling so much?

8. I've seen a snail move faster. A snail. I'm not even kidding here. A snail.

9. Have you no sense of urgency?

10. Alright I can't take this anymore.

11. *Goes in for the pass.*

12. JK someone's coming in the other way on the sidewalk.

13. Ugh I'm never going to pass you. We will have a new president before I get to class, and it's all thanks to you.

14. Ok, Ok here we go. I'm finally gonna pass this turtle.

15. Oh NOW you decide to move over on the sidewalk? Are you TRYING to make me more annoyed?

16. I don't care anymore, I'm passing you, and if I body-check you in the process, so be it.

17. Oh good, you moved over to let me pass (FINALLY). Body-check not necessary.

18. YAS I can walk at my own pace now #blessed.

19. Open sidewalk, nothing can stop me now.

20. Dear god, no. Not another.

And then the process starts all over again until I get to class, the library, or wherever I'm going (probably Starbucks). Let's just hope that I won't be too late, and tomorrow is a more promising day, filled with walkers who are slightly less sloth-like.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer. And if you haven't already guessed, it's beer. There are few things I take more seriously than my beer, in order are: sports... and beer. Here are my favorite summer brews:

Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.

You cannot beat the beach. Believe it or not (which many people may not), New England has a long and beautiful coastline. Most of my high school summers were spent sitting on the Wall at Hampton Beach, getting sunburnt and eating Acai bowls from The Secret Spot. The Wall was the place to be both during the day and at night. We begin our days there with a KB's bagel and coffee, and end them with pizza and ice cream. It’s not a New England summer without that 4 p.m. text from someone, “Who wants to meet at the Wall tonight?” Nighttime is for Tripoli’s Pizza, the sound of waves, and wishes on shooting stars. Wednesday nights are especially important, as those are the nights that Hampton Beach sets off the weekly firework display.
