12 Thoughts I Had During From My First Time At Costco

I went to Costco for the first time a few weeks ago and I'm still amazed by the experience. I knew it would be a different shopping experience, but I didn't think it would be as different as I first thought.

1. It's so big

Yep, that's pretty much what it looks like.

2. It's got everything

Furniture, clothes, groceries, televisions, decorations, you name it, Costco has it.

3. Well luckily I have a list

Interestingly, it's starting to become more and more impossible to follow.

4. Or I'd get that huge jar of olives I didn't write down

We all know I got the olives.

5. Or those two huge bottles of ranch for $10?

Yes.

6. I may as well forget about the list

I can justify everything in this cart so far, so I don't need a list, right?

7. Do these aisles ever end?

It honestly felt like I'd walked a million miles down just one aisle.

8. So. Much. Meat.

The number one thing I stocked up on was meat because it's easy enough to freeze and thaw when needed. For two people, we still have at least half of the meat I bought.

9. The bottles of alcohol are HUGE!

Not that I need that big of a bottle, but woah!

10. Oh we're not done walking? Okay then

By about 20 minutes in I felt like I'd walked through the entire store, but alas, no.

11. The diary and produce sections are freezing!

Once I walked out I could quite literally feel my body thawing.

12. How did I end up with so much?

I thought I had a list but that all went out the window about five minutes in.

Suffice it to say, I love Costco and I can't wait to go back.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.

Yes, the math major is doing a math-related post. What are the odds? I'll have to calculate it later. Many people have probably learned about the Fibonacci sequence in their high school math classes. However, I thought I would just refresh everyone's memories and show how math can be beautiful and apply to physical things everywhere around us with stunning examples.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.
