10 Struggles of Being a Lefty

Only 10% of the world is left handed and that doesn't make life any easier on us lefties.

When you live in a world where only 10 percent of the world's population are lefties, it's harder to adjust to everyday tasks. So here's 10 things that lefties struggle with on a daily basis.

1. Smudging the paper EVERY time you write or draw and always having to apologize for the ink stains you leave behind.

2. Struggling to find a lefty mitt in gym while playing softball or baseball.

3. Spiral Notebooks. Spiral. Notebooks. SPIRALS.

4. It was so rare to find the lefty desks, and if there ever was one, it was probably already occupied.

5. Ice cream scoops.

6. THESE HORRORS.

7. Never having left handed scissors to use. Always destroying your arts and crafts with right handed scissors.

8. Never failing to bump elbows with anyone and everyone who sat next to you.

9. Never succeeding at using these things.

10. Graphite being your worst nightmare. Or pens. Or markers. Or basically any writing utensil.

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
