Resham Kapur

I come from a beautiful family of four consisting of my parents and my younger brother, who I like to sometimes refer to as my greatest enemy yet my best friend. We have had a very strong Indian upbringing despite being born and brought up in the United States which is something I am extremely grateful to my parents for.

So as you get to know me you’ll realize, I am very Indian, for lack of better words. I love salwar kameez over jeans and a top, I love lehengas and saris over dresses, and I love A.R. Rahman and Shreya Goshal over Rihanna and Drake. But I’m still proud of to be an American. I consider myself lucky because I get to experience both American and Indian cultures; I get to blend those two together to create my own unique culture which I can be proud of.
