My name is Heather Ashley Searfoss. I am 24 years old and I am a recent graduate of Penn State Univerisity. I graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Humanities majoring in Communications/ Public Relations. I have a small family. I am currently employed as an account representative for the Government IT distributor, Carahsoft Technologies Inc and an RA/ private caregiver for the nursing community, Bethany Village. I volunteer for the Peyton Walker Foundation, which raises awareness about sudden cardic arrest and the Central PA Food Bank. I have been a blogger of societal change since Spring 2014 and a writer of societal change for Odyssey's Changemakers since September 2016. My poetry has been published in 5 books for the publishing company Eber & Wein Publishing for the Best Poems of 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2018. I am currently working on 3 books and planning to start my own non-profit against domestic violence in low-income communities that provides counseling, protective, and housing services to those who have been affected by domestic violence. I also plan for this non-profit to be engaging so that children can experience the luxuries that average children their age experience such as playing ball, sleeping in a warm bed, and feeling accepted. I believe that everyone has a talent and that each child should experience a normal life. I am also pursuing my RN/BSN degree and a MHA degree so I can help people and make a difference in the healthcare community. In short terms, I work hard, I dream harder, and I love the hardest. If I didn't dream, work, or love I wouldn't have the drive to give my family and myself the best future possible. And family is forever.
