These five places will transport you into a new world, without you having to step on a rocket!

We start of with a scene that looks like it could have been pulled from a sci-fi movie. The main novelty of this particular island lies clearly in the trees. Unlike anything most people have seen before, these trees take on a similar appearance to that of mushrooms, equally confusing and a visual treat all together.

Moving up quickly in scale comes mountains. Mountains that have some of the most vivid colors that can be seen in nature are often the most appreciated, and this one definitely takes the cake. The Zhangye Daxia mountains look artfully colored in with beautiful shades, namely the color blue, which doesn't appear in such landforms often.

Going in the opposite direction from the mountains, we see a vortex that may have created some of the most beautiful waterfalls that we have ever seen. The circular formation is equal parts beautiful and terrifying, a true embodiment of nature as a whole.

This mountain is one of the most jaw-dropping formations that has existed. It feels imposing yet part of the land that surrounds it, and the area around it makes it all the more beautiful. On good days, you'll get an almost unparralleled view down to the ground from dizzying heights, and on great days, the fog rolls in, making you feel like you're soaring above the skies.

Last but oh so certainly not least, comes a place that looks like it was torn straight out of Avatar's world of Pandora. Jagged spikes of rock jut out from the ground, giving you a mystical aura when combined with fog. Unfortunately, due to keeping the beauty of the place intact, walkways along the spires have not been created, but walkways along the grounds are there for you to witness this unnatural beauty.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.

Giving the idiot who goes 30 in a "No Wake Zone" a piece of your mind.

You have no problem with peeing in the water.

Watching in awe at the bigger, better boats that pass by.

Knowing any swimsuit that you own with white in it is best left for the pool or the ocean.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

1. My school is incredibly unique.

2. I am not just a number at my school.

3. I feel like I am contributing something to the community.

5. My professors know me and I feel that I can easily communicate with them.

9. Ability to join a sorority and have a house full of people I know I can talk to anytime I need to
