Rising in the charts is Tori Kelly, a 24-year-old pop artist with big dreams and even bigger amounts of talent. She has a handful of EPs along with one full album called "Unbreakable Smile." Her vocals compare to no other with her stunning tone and perfect pitch that makes her live performances so dreamy that audience members and fans wonder why she needs to edit her voice at all in the studio versions of her songs. Here are some of my favorite lyrics from every song on her first completed album. Songs/lyrics marked with an asterisk (*) are personal favorites.

1. If there's anybody out there listening to me, all I have is a story and a dream. Here I am, and that's all I can be. ("Where I Belong")

2. But I'd rather make 'em yawn than be a pawn on your chessboard, so call me boring, call me cookie-cutter, call me what you want -- a matter of fact, just say it loud and don't st-stutter. ("Unbreakable Smile")

3. Everybody's talking 'bout the next thing, feel like what they got ain't good enough. ("Nobody Love")

4. We've all been taught to chase that dollar, but that's not on my mind. ("Expensive")

5. It's unfair that I still care, and I wonder where you are tonight. ("Should've Been Us")

6. You never hear me singing love songs, wasn't big on poetry. Never cried in the movies -- didn't wanna feel so weak. ("First Heartbreak") *

7. I was made for loving you, even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through. Every bone screaming "I don't know what we should do." ("I Was Made For Loving You") *

8. I don't really know my fate, I just know I'm on my way. There will be mistakes. ("City Dove") *

9. Playing with empty hearts, reading words from blank pages, we're going nowhere now. ("Talk")

10. Cause the same things that chose you are the same things that own you. The same thing that built you is the same thing that kills you. The same ones that praise you are the same ones that hate you. Funny how it all goes around. ("Funny")

11. But it just wasn't love. I guess the stars never aligned for us, life just snuck on us. ("Art of Letting You Go") *

12. I'll be cool with it, done with it, you're never on my mind. Til I feel the heat of you and me; it hits me every summer. Remember when no one else could make me feel alive? ("California Lovers")

13. But here I am, just a lot of broken pieces. I don't plan to leave and break your heart. ("Falling Slow") *

14. If I said I'm difficult sometimes -- say whatever comes to my mind, would you stay with me any-anyway? If you knew I made a lot of noise -- say whatever just to make my point, would you stay with me any-anyway? ("Anyway")

15. I don't wanna be the first one folding, I don't wanna be the joker heart. Tell me, darling, will you understand me and not show me your cards? ("Hollow")

16. It's just a blessing in disguise. Without darkness, there is no light. Just hold on a little longer and I promise you'll get through this. ("Something Beautiful") *

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
