3. You Get Upset Your Civilian Friends Don't Know How Amazing the Commissary Is.

It's only like the greatest thing ever invented for military families.

4. MRE's are always in the house

and you're parents never understand why on earth you would like them.


5. You Expect the National Anthem to Play Before Every Movie and Actually Get Excited for it.

Not to mention going to the movies usually cost a dollar or are free.

The bowling alley, base pool were huge social spots when you we're young so your bowling skills quickly improved.

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots.
