What They Don't Tell You About Hiking In Arizona

My alarm went off at 7:30 am, if you know me then you know that for me that's basically like 5:00 am. I seriously contemplated falling off my bed just to injure myself so I wouldn't have to go on this hike.

After I read the customary "Good morning beautiful" text from my loving boyfriend, I knew I had to put my big girl pants on and suck it up. This hike was going to happen and I had an hour and thirty minutes to mentally prepare myself for whatever the day had planned. I stopped and got a bagel from the student union and we were on the road headed to Sedona.

There was a time when a certain person's approval meant absolutely everything to me. It used to consume my mind and everything I seemed to do never seemed like enough. I worked hard for their approval and acknowledgment and never received anything but negative feedback, it wasn't until I started realizing that the things I was doing was enough and the fault in the situation was not derived from me, but their inability to see my successes. Dissociating myself from the obsession to gain their approval became the greatest decision of my life.

Ever since the release of Iron Man in 2008, the idea of wearing a mechanized super-suit has been on my to-do list. One of the coolest things, in my opinion, is the evolution of not just the suits themselves, but how they're put on.

Sure, claustrophobia might be a concern if you were in a suit, especially the ones that required a separate device to take on or off... but I do think it would be worth it to wear one. Now just to become a billionaire.. and hey, if all else fails and I can't get the tech for a mech suit, at least I could pull off Batman!
