To the girlfriends I made in college, I cannot say enough about you. Thank you for letting me steal all of your clothes, hair products, jewelry, makeup, basically, everything you own. Thank you for bringing me to visit your family, and accepting me like I was part of it. Thank you for experiencing a lifetime of problems, fights, awkward scenarios, and uncomfortable moments in a matter of a few months. But most of all, thank you for being you, because I love you. But like I said, I can't say enough about you, so what better way to explain it then clips from our favorite references.
But we arethe best at staying up all night doing absolutely nothing.
BUT, we are also the best at doing absolutely unexplainable and ridiculous things. Nobody makes a midnight car ride to each get take out from a different fast food place with music blaring as much fun as your college girl friends.
And of course, even in the short amount of time it took to get to know each other, nobody knows you as best as your college girl friends. Even as weird as you can get.
They're the best at supporting you through life endeavors, as simple as getting up and going to class, getting that job, or actually doing your homework. It's like a new mom that you get discuss inappropriate, uncomfortable things with. What's better?!
BUT even better- they support you when you deserve to do nothing. And even accompanyyou in doing nothing. Nothing says friendship like binge watching chick-flicks all day and promising to keep each other up until 3 am to finish those essays you regrettably post oned.Yes, it IS inevitable. No matter how good of friends you are right off the bat. You're going to fight over the dumbest things imaginable. But it is also inevitable to makeup over it within speedy timing. Plus, you alwayslaugh about it right after. For Example: "Where should we get food tonight" could end up looking like:
Yes. Fighting over take out could in fact be your first roommate world war three argument. Yes, it IS that simple to practically come to blows over. But, again, always comical after.
Except if you have that friend that can't just laugh off a fight, or needs to hold the grudge all day to prove a point or even the awkward one that needs physical validation of forgiveness.
But when you're not at each other's throats, you can even go out and have a good time together. It's as if you weren't crazy enough in the apartment, let's add alcohol to the mix of our actions together.
And even if you addtoomuch to the mix, you're waving your white flag together the next day.
Unless of course you do something horrifying, or just down right idiotic, your college girl friends are always the ones to straighten you out.
Some of those good friends that like to confront you with ease, and some that just like to rip the bandage off and then choke you with it.
But at the end of the day, no matter what food we get, or embarrassment we cause each other, you guys are my lifeline. My BEST friends, the ones I want around forever. And I LOVE YOU.
