This is what it is like for a girl to fall for a new guy

I don't think I have heard a song that better describes what it is like for a girl in this generation to fall for a boy then the song, “Losin Control,” by Russ. He explains how hard it is for a girl to let go of the things that have happened to her in her past so that she can move on to her future.

“She’s fallin’ in love now Losin’ control now Fightin’ the truth Tryin’ to hide But I think it’s alright girl Yeah, I think it’s alright girl”

When a girl begins to fall for a new boy, she becomes scared. We don’t want to believe that we like them; we don’t want them to know. It is hard for us to accept the fact that we like someone new. We don't know what to expect from this new relationship and it scares us.

"She's falling but she doesn't think he'll catch her Cause her last relationship was a disaster Accusations everyday she didn't know why All her calls would be ignored he's on his own time."

If you are a girl, and have ever been through a hard relationship then these lycris speak volumes to you. You begin to fall for a new guy but you aren’t expecting him to like you back because that is what you are used too. You are used to being ignored and assuming that things just weren’t going to work out because that’s how it always happens for you. But it shouldn't be like that. You deserve someone who wants to talk to you, and cares about how you are.

"Now she's all alone and starting over Now she's got baggage on her shoulder."

As girls, it is hard for us to move on. We get so caught up in what happened to us in the past that we begin to let it affect our future. We carry about the “baggage” from our past relationship and let it define new relationships with others.

"She fell for him and hasn't gotten' up since Every now and then she goes off though Beating on his chest like a bongo He understands she's coming from a hurt place."

Once a girl finally gets through the rough past, and actually falls for another guy, we fall fast and we fall hard. We can’t help, its how we were made. We are going to question you, and half of us may not believe you but it is the other half of us that will allow us to trust you.

Although this song has been out since 2015, it is just now getting the publicity that it needs. So here is to Russ for capturing the emotion along with the complicated past that many girls have been through in just four minutes.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
