Dealing with a less than boring 21 years of my life has taught me a lot and I couldn’t think of a better way to describe it than with lyrics from my favorite country singer. So here we go...

You can’t go your whole life avoiding those difficult conversations, speak your mind if and when you feel strongly about something. Everyone lives their own lives and in a world of this, things can get complicated. However, everyone deserves to be happy no matter what they choose to do.

2. “You can’t be everybody’s cup of tea, some like the bitter, some the sweet. Nobody’s everybody’s favorite, so you might as well just make it how you please” -Cup of Tea

Just as you might not like some people, some people might not like you. Don’t dwell on those facts. You just can’t please everyone and that’s just a fact of life.

3. “I wish I could, but I just can’t wear a smile when a smile ain’t what I’m feelin.” –Pageant Material

It is completely okay to not be okay. There is nothing wrong with having emotions and expressing those emotions however you see fit. No one can tell you that you have to act happy when going through unhappy events.

4. “It is what it is, till it ain’t anymore.” –It Is What It Is

Sometimes you just have to brush off the little things that you can’t control. We have to realize that some things don't require our comment and sometimes conflict over something little isn't worth it. Sometimes, it is what it is and it’s not your problem.

5. “Family is family in church or in prison. You get what you get and you don’t get to pick ‘em. They might smoke like chimneys but give you their kidneys. Yea, friends come in handy but family is family.” –Family is Family

No matter what happens your family will almost always be there when you need them. If you don't have that immediate or close family, you most definitely have those friends that are just like family. So realize that even when you feel alone, they are always there.

6. “If you’re ever gonna find the silver lining, it’s gotta be a cloudy day. If you wanna fill your bottle up with lightning, you’re gonna have to stand in the rain.” –Silver Lining

Sometimes, you have to go through some hard times in order to see a positive outcome. Life is a series of ups and downs and every once in awhile the downs seem like the end, but the up will come and it will be worth the pain.
