Joy & Happiness

Hey readers! I want to focus on personifying what it means to feel many positive energies at once. It could be that you got a raise or you took up a new hobby. Whatever comes to mind that brings good emotions, I want you to imagine those by two.

Sometimes, you may think that it's too good to be true, and, it can turn out that way. However, for this piece, I want there to be the mindset of not dipping into the negative. Remember: a strong thought can materialize. Today may have been a bad day, but never count out what you can dream for tomorrow and accomplish. I hope you find some happiness in this poem. Many smiles upon you!

Dreaming into a whirlwind

I found everything all at once

The joy I thought up

Returned in fruitful bursts

They were as lush as a basket of

Lemons, apples, and mango

All of the good things

Were awaiting to flow

I always imagined happiness

Like grass with an overcast

Yet, I was drifted into a sunny field

Yellow sunflowers quenching the fears

Rivets of delicate bubbles

Surrounded me, capturing my worries

Merrily, and honestly,

I appreciated what it did for me

The crystal clear capsules drifted to heaven

More and more fragrant bliss appeared

Right from under the garden's den and

I smiled like a silly child who had gotten

The treat they wanted all day

For me, the laughter lazily stayed

A few times, I could hardly believe

That joy manifested her wings within me

The cocoon was framed with sadness

Wrapped in silky anxiousness

The words fell so fast from my lips,

"There's got to be more for me to love than this,"

So, out of my hardened heart, joy

Wrapped her warm thread to me

"Fly," she whispered so sweetly

I caught a tear in my eye, but indeed

I was ready to see above the clouds

Floating into the happiness

I denied to myself for so long

Oh, how good it feels to

Be bliss and create bliss

What it means to be lifted

By joy and happiness

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
