11 Things That Cost More Than Jacob Anderson Will Pay For Rape

Sometimes, the American justice system is truly twisted.

For the last few weeks, American news headlines have been ripe with controversy.

While many people have been arguing online over stupid things like if "Baby It's Cold Outside" is about rape (it isn't), an alleged rapist, was offered a plea deal that includes no prison time, three years probation, and a measly $400 fine. This is the price that he will pay for sexually violating an innocent, unconscious girl.

Here are 11 things that cost more than what Jacob Anderson will pay for raping a girl.

1. Driving tickets

In some states, and depending on the violation, drivers can be charged upwards of $400 for speeding or violating traffic laws.

2. Income taxes

According to a USA Today article, the average American spends about $10,500 in federal, state, and local income taxes annually, nearly 30 times as much as Jacob Anderson's fine.

5. Braces

On average, traditional metal braces cost between $3,000 and $7,000 total.

6. Groceries per month

A family of four spends anywhere from $146 to $289 on average on groceries per week. which amounts to between $584 and $1,156 per month.

10. Childcare

In Mississippi, parents spend an average of $665 per month on childcare, the lowest monthly rate in the country.

11. An iPhone

A 64GB iPhone XR costs $749.00 in total.

The case of Jacob Anderson is appalling. There is no excuse for it. If ever you find yourself starting to become less infuriated by it, take a moment to remember that this boy is paying less for allegedly raping a girl than you're probably paying per month to live in your house.
