In today's modern society, technology is an essential part of life for many people. Technology has caused many evolutionary events to happen and made a permanent footprint in the world. Technology has made many things possible such as making online schooling possible and allowing contact between people through multiple platforms.

Throughout the years, education has shifted in many ways, including the usage of online schooling platforms and electronic resources. Some students might not have the support to attend on-campus schooling and might need to take advantage of online education and resources. Many schools are offering online classes to students that attend on campus to provide a variety of learning. Online platforms that allow students to access resources in the classrooms give extra help to their success as well. For example, Banweb is an online support that is given to students to manage their information involving their student information( financial aid, class registration, etc.). Without technology, many things that students need or may need will be challenging to access. Technology has paved a way of making contact between people smoother through various platforms. For example, facetime makes it easier to contact people and see them face to face. Distance has become more trouble free for people to overcome with the introduction to many social media platforms and long distance services offered by phone companies. People that may be dealing with long distance relationships can be less worried about things due to introduction to new technology. Parents can keep in contact with their children as well through technology, mainly due to many companies specializing in electronics specialized for children and parents.

These days various events are happening throughout the world that people find essential to their life. World news can be watched or listened to through technology; without news reports, many things would be unknown to society unless the communication between one another. Voting has even become electronic throughout countries which makes elections for candidates run more smoother.

Technology has also allowed people to work from the comfort of their home, such as blogging, online tutoring, virtual recruiting, etc. Employees can easily earn their money rarely or never leaving their home. Many online job findings come from just an inquiry and a click of a search button.

Without the technological advances that have taken place and innovators throughout the years, many things that play a significant part in peoples lives will become very strenuous tasks to complete or obtain. If technology all of a sudden comes to a halt how do you think the world would function.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
