Have a significant other who is THE hardest to shop for?

I love giving gifts to people but sometimes I struggle finding the right or perfect gift.

So, I did some research and found some really cute and unique gifts to give this year. These can be used for Valentines Day, Anniversaries or just because gifts.

Matching Sweatshirts

This might be one of my favorite ideas I found.

You can buy a sweatshirt from anywhere but I would recommend somewhere that can embroider things on it such as Etsy or other customizable vendors. Then you are going to have your initial embroidered on your significant others sweatshirt and theirs on yours.

Then you have matching sweatshirts and a piece of each other with you whenever you wear it. This is perfect for long distance relationships or any relationship in general. Who doesn't want another sweatshirt?

Chick-Fil-A heart trays

If your significant other loves food, listen up!

Chick-Fil-A is selling select products of their food in heart shaped containers the whole month of February so if you need to celebrate early or late they are your go to!

The food choices are chocolate chip cookies, Chicken Minis and chicken nuggets. And the heart trays are reason enough to but the food they are SO cute. I will for sure be using myself one.

Keychain

This is a relatively inexpensive gift idea but can be personalized for your person.

Basically you just go on any Etsy shop and find a keychain that you like and customize it. You can make it say literally anything you want like anything.

This is perfect if you know your significant other uses a keychain for their keys or work ID so that they can take it with them everywhere they of and think of you.

Noticing little things like these really shows how much you care and how much attention you pay to your person!

Date Jar

This is a cheesy yet cute gift idea that also is relatively cheap.

All you need is a mason jar, slips of paper and a pen.

What you need to do is write date ideas on the slips of paper and put them in the mason jar. Once the jar is full, seal it up and give it to your person and then you have an endless amount of date ideas and things you can do together!

Photobook

This is something that can be made on so many websites. I know Costco, Chatbooks, Shutterfly and so many other vendors have these available for customization.

All you need to do is pick a theme, a book, a layout and insert your pictures and anything else you would want to say.

This gift is something they can keep and always look at and if you order through one of those above vendors you can ship it directly to them. So, this is perfect for all distance relationships.

Engraved wallet or card case

If you have noticed their wallet is old or falling apart get them a new one!

You can add a special touch by putting their initials on it or putting yours as well. This is such a simple gift but something they will use every single day!

Coupon book

Although this one is cheesy it is super cute and shows that you put a lot of effort into making something thoughtful and catered to your significant other.

Basically what you are going to do is write on pie es of paper: Exchange this coupon for ____

This can be anything you want one hug, a kiss, dinner on me, a back massage etc.

Practical Gift Cards

I always try to not give gift cards because I feel like they are something you give when you have no idea what to get. But there is a time when gift cards are truly meaningful. Be intentional!

Think gift cards for gas, groceries, where they get their hair done, their nail salon, the car wash they always go to, their favorite restaurant, a gift card for a store they would not usually shop at because it is expensive or because they don't like spending that type of money on themselves.

Restock their favorite products

Guys, this one is for you!

The amount of products women use and the price of them is absolutely stupid. So, take your signifiant other shopping and get them all of their toiletries, makeup and whatever other products they may be out of or running low on.

This is a great way to show her you care about her. And, I feel like doing small things like this is something women pick up on, notice and love so DO IT!

Plan a whole Valentine's Day

Yes, you read that correctly. This is probably the biggest, most expensive and most time consuming gift but it is also probably the most rewarding and thoughtful one.

Plan a whole Valentine's Day, start to finish, meaning, starting with breakfast and spending the whole day with them doing both of your favorite things then ending the night with a nice dinner, gift exchange etc.

You obviously do not need to go overboard for this just spending the day with your significant other is a gift in itself so take this with a grain of salt!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
