Back To School Grind!

Omg well, would you look at that? The summer has came to the end and you all know what that means: school. We all get a school supply list whether being a kindergartener to a senior in college.

However, this is the part where you pay attention. This list below will provide you with the most necessary material that you would need unlike the school supply list your teacher gives you.

1. Charger

Trust me, no one will lend you their charger. I promise you. Bring your charger everywhere with your name of course because you do not want to lose it.

2. Pencil Or Pen

This is probably one of the most basic essentials on this list. And you might think you have plenty of pens and pencils. NOPE… By the fourth week of school you will be one of those annoying people who ask for pencils and pens everyday and I know you do not want to be THAT person, do you?

3. Binder

All your teachers will tell you to get a bunch of binders for each of your classes. They also tell you to only use this binder for this specific subject only. But in reality, you won't. Not even close. You will most likely use one binder for all your classes to limit the amount of crapload you have in your backpack. Also, you will probably lose everything in your binder and never find things on time.

4. Backpack

If you don't have a backpack, that's sad. :(

5. Sweatpants

This pants need to be more of the "I dragged myself out of bed for this" sweatpants. I am pretty sure they are available at Walmart and target for like $8.

6. Gym Membership

It's not like you're really going to use it , but having that little card on your keychain is pretty cool because everyone thinks that you work out.

7. Headphones

Just because there is no better way to ignore the people you dislike than to wear headphones.

8. Spotify Or Apple Music Subscription

No one wants to hear the ads on Spotify or Pandora. This isn't 2009 anymore. If you can really find a way to use spotify premium for free then you can listen to Drake whenever you're in your feelings.

9. Notebook

Mostly like you all have a laptop, so you will probably won't ever use your notebook. But hey, you can always use this notebook just so that you feel productive.

10. Laptop

Make sure you get those stickers that are super basic so you don't feel left out. Reminder, bring your laptop to class so that you can pretend you are taking notes during lecture!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
