8 Reasons Why Jessica Day Is The Epitome Of Every Girl
Fan Forum

For every New Girl lover, it is pretty clear that Jessica Day is one vibrant, fun loving woman. From her witty comments to her priceless reactions, Jess has an all-around spunky soul that many women can relate to. Here are 8 reasons why she captures the true essence of womanhood and what it's like to be a girl.

1. She tells it how it is.

Jess recognizes her true energetic spirit and won't let anyone bring her down. I mean I'm pretty sure we all believe we're fun, well "darn tooting' fun." -DTF

2. She's all about emotions.

In many cases women are seen as more emotional. Since Jess lives with only men, she always tries to get them to talk about their feelings. For anyone who lives with guys or has a boyfriend we feel her pain- and definitely have used a talking/feeling stick at one point or another.

3. She over exaggerates.

I know this stands true for myself and many of my friends- we usually exaggerate everything we talk about and we love it. It is so easy to get caught up in telling a story, responding back to someone, or just simply talking about nothing. If you've ever heard girls talk, you probably have heard things that sound way too intense to be true but you can't help but listen to every word.

4. Her reactions are priceless.

Jess typically has the best reactions around and will more than likely say "shut your face." From listening to friends wild weekend stories to a hectic work week schedule, Jess or any other girl will probably have some priceless reaction that will make you laugh, cry, or just sit and wonder what is even going on.

5. She struggles with decision making.

Decision making is often times very hard, especially for time sensitive topics. From Jess trying to decide whether she should take a job offer in six minutes to calling off her father's new relationship, Jess continuously struggled with making decisions. I know this personally rings true for myself because I can't even pick out what socks I'm going to wear or what's for breakfast.

6. She understands that she's crazy.

In most cases, girls know how crazy they are and try to hide it for as long as possible, especially around guys. However, we all understand the struggles of being a girl and know that we all are a little whacky on this inside. Along with many others, Jess just can't hide her crazy and we've all had our fair share of moments when we question our sanity.

7. She has a fun-loving attitude.

Like every girl, Jess loves to have a good time. From planning birthday parties for friends to just having a fun night in, Jess will make sure it's a good time. Her fun-loving attitude is contagious and I'm sure we all can relate to those times when girls just want to have fun.

8. Her love of puppies.

Her love of puppies may quite possibly be the most relatable and likable thing about Jess. Like honestly who doesn't love puppies in a cup!?

Jessica Day may be one of the most relatable characters in today's society. From her unique, likable personality to her love for puppies, Jess truly captures what it is like to be a girl and all the reasons why girls today relate to her. For these eight reasons and many more, Jess is the epitome of every girl.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
