There are a few new songs sweeping the charts of country music that hold so much more than just a catchy beat or well sung vocals. The new songs by Lauren Alania, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini and Runaway June all hold messages for women across the world. From being yourself no matter what society says to never letting a man treat you poorly, the lyrics presented by these artists are nothing short of inspirational.

1. Road Less Traveled - Lauren Alania

This song has recently become one of my favorites because although the beat grabs you, it is the lyrics that truly speak to you. “Dress sizes can’t define, don’t let the world decide what’s beautiful” is one of the first lines of the song, but it speaks volumes on how we should see ourselves as beautiful. The chorus of this song just speaks to your soul. “If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle; Don’t be afraid, take the road less traveled” is Lauren’s way of telling you to be your own person and to have no fear of where your dreams are going to take you.

Any woman that hears this song should immediately know "Don't follow anyone; March to the beat of a different drum" because we were all made perfect just the way we are. We do not have to change for anyone.

2. Better Man - Little Big Town

This song is for all of the women who have ever missed a man they know was poison for them. "I know the bravest thing I ever did was run" is my favorite line of the song because it shows that she was strong for running away rather than fighting to save their relationship when she knew it was bad for her. "You’re talking down to me like I’ll always be around" is another powerful line. He treats her poorly because he thought she would never walk away. She misses him but knows she is "better off on (her) own".

3. Love Me Like You Mean It - Kelsea Ballerini

This song has a lot of impact on women, even though it is given in more of a fun tone. Essentially, Kelsea is saying she does not have time to get her heart messed with. She only wants a man that is serious about loving her. "'Cause I don't have time to waste on the boys that are playing the game; Or leaving the girls crying out in the rain" is my favorite part of this song because every girl can relate. We have all had experiences with "losers, liars and users" that were "just looking for a heart to break".

4. Lipstick - Runaway June

This is one of my favorite songs due to its simplicity. "If you're gonna love somebody; Yeah you better love somebody; Who ruins your lipstick not your mascara" is basically saying to be with a man who loves to kiss you and would never make you cry. Every girl deserves a man that never wants to hurt her and only wants to see her happy in every way. Never settle, the right one is out there "somewhere, looking for you too".
