Mariam Mansour

Hello! My name is Mariam (in case you've already forgotten). I'm a Biological Sciences Major currently attending the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). This is my sophomore year, so I've become familiar with the ins and outs of school in the city (as well as commuting to get there!). I'm also pre-med student, which is usually synonymous with "stressed out" and "never gets a moment to breathe." Having been born in Egypt and lived there until I was five, I count myself slightly foreign (I've lived here the majority of my life, but coming from a foreign family does have its effects). I enjoy all sorts of things, primarily reading, rewatching the 13 episodes of Sherlock that exist over and over again, and anything that involves Human Anatomy and Physiology (reading about it, watching documentaries, cutting into dead creatures, it all goes). Considering my passion for reading since my childhood, it is not very surprising that I've grown up enjoying writing as well. This being said, I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as I enjoy putting them together!
