Christina Marie Beals

I plan to use The Odyssey's social platform to bring light to current societal issues from different perspectives, such as from a logical or a feminist perspective. I also plan to approach different current national/global issues and events using varying tones; such as humor/satire, serious, and informative. Since I am writing from my college's platform, I also plan to write about topics pertaining to late high school/college - life events I have already experienced. Within this topic, I would plan on discussing subtopics such as the transition from high school to college, giving hope/advice to those in high school who may be worrying about their future and life after high school, and/or the perks/challenges of being a college student. My main goal as a writer, depending on how I approach the topic in which I am covering, will be to either educate my readers, or give them a quick laugh and a smile to continue their day with. I also know how personable I am capable of being as an individual, and I plan on using that to my advantage by occasionally writing about relatable life experiences of a fellow young adult.
