Chip And Joanna Gaines Have Created An Empire
Even if you can't make it down to Waco, Texas to see Magnolia Market, you can still find the Gaines' influence around the country.
Chip and Joanna Gaines, known for their show on HGTV, Fixer Upper, have created something that draws in visitors from all across the United States. Their time on TV will easily sustain them financially for their rest of their lives, but the couple strove to do more. Together, they created Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas. Magnolia is a gathering place by two silos. This Gaines' property holds a bakery, store, gift shop, and tons of outside seating as well as food trucks that line the perimeter. Magnolia brought in 1.6 million visitors just last year, and they employ over 600 locals.
The couple became famous throughout their years on HGTV which started in May of 2013. They weren't the first HGTV home fixers, but they are arguably the most famous. Other HGTV celebrities include Jonathan and Drew Scott from their show Property Brothers. As Chip and Joanna Gaines built up Magnolia Market, they were able to add on two more properties. One was a discount shop and the other is a restaurant. Magnolia Table, Joanna's restaurant, is known to have multiple hour-long wait times, but that doesn't stop hundreds of people from going every day. While customers wait they have the option of enjoying coffee and pastries in the well designed outside cafe. Upon being seated, Magnolia Table has a menu that is sure to wow anyone. Options such as summer salads, chicken salad sandwiches, and asparagus quiches are popular, as well as Chip's Burger.
Some of the restaurant's recipes can be found in Joanna Gaines' cookbook. She recently partnered with Target to sell some of her favorite home accessories. This partnership also helped her release her cookbook filled with her recipes and some from her and Chip's parents. Chip and Joanna Gaines have spread their empire far beyond the screen. Magnolia Market is a wonder and joy to experience. Even if you can't make it down to Waco, Texas, you can still find the Gaines' touch around the country.
