5 Jersey Beaches To Visit This Summer Before The School Year Starts
If you're someone who loves shopping just as much as you enjoy a good tanning session, be sure to stop by Long Branch this summer.
If you ask me there's nothing quite like summertime down at the Jersey Shore. With the sun on your face, wind in your hair, and the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the shore in the background, I have to say there's nowhere else I would rather be. The great thing about New Jersey beaches is that each one has something unique to offer and you're almost guaranteed to find one that is the perfect spot for you.
1. Long Branch, NJ
If you're someone who loves shopping just as much as you enjoy a good tanning session, be sure to stop by Long Branch this summer. Right across from the beach is a cute little shopping plaza that goes by the name of Pier Village. This is the perfect spot for you if you're looking to take a refreshing dip in the cool Jersey shore waters. Grab yourself a cute new outfit at one of their many boutiques, and make a quick stop at Playa Bowl for a yummy smoothie bowl to complete your perfect beach day.
2. Asbury Park, NJ
The diversity of Asbury Park is what has brought me here time after time again each and every summer. Here you can find beachgoers of practically all walks of life walking comfortably side by side along the boardwalk. The boardwalk stretching from Convention Hall on the north end all the way to Casino Pier at the south end offers up a little something for everyone to enjoy making this a must visit spot this summer.
3. Belmar, NJ
Belmar has to be my favorite beach to visit over the summer, no questions asked. Some of my fondest memories are of walking the beautiful shores of Belmar beach with my best friend. If the party scene is more your style, I'd make an effort to visit Belmar this summer. While the town has worked hard to try to calm down its party central reputation, there is still plenty of nightlife happening down in this awesome little beach town.
4. Long Beach Island, NJ
Are you ready to hit the waves this summer? Do you long for this season to come around to break out the surfboard? Then the southern tip of Long Beach Island is where you have to go. At this location, you'll find some of the best waves at the Jersey Shore with much fewer people to worry about. If surfing is what you're looking for this summer, the trip here is definitely worth it.
5. Island Beach State Park (Seaside Park, NJ)
Do you have a special little furry four-legged companion that just loves roaming around in the sand? Would you like to park your jeep right out on the beach and set up a grill with the family? Then Island Beach State Park is the spot for you. There's something special about being able to make your beach experience one that is uniquely your own and this location offers that. Not to mention the beach here is gorgeous at sunset.
