We Have to Discuss Adam Sandler's Triumphant Return to SNL
How Sandler's return to the SNL stage left us feeling overjoyed and nostalgic long after the episode's end!
From movies like "Happy Gilmore", "Just Go With It", and "Grown Ups", to songs such as "The Hanukkah Song" and "Lunch Lady Land", Adam Sandler has always been providing audiences with endless comedic and sensational content that withstands time. His return to "Saturday Night Live" after 24 years was eagerly anticipated by many SNL fans, and boy did he deliver a quality performance!

After the roaring applause subsided, Sandler's opening monologue began with a brief but heartwarming retelling of his appreciation to be back at the NBC Studio. This was followed by a hilarious singing act featuring SNL alum Chris Rock, where both actors poked fun at how they were fired from SNL. Sandler ended the song jocosely singing, "I was fired / I was fired / NBC said that I was done / Then I made over four billion dollars at the box office / So I guess you could say I won."

Opera Man is one of Adam Sandler's most iconic characters to date, and to have him officially return after24 years was a treat for all SNL lovers and comedy fans. He returned with his usual light-hearted antics, singing about popular social and political news through his comical rhyming and infamous Italian accent.

Feelings of nostalgia only continued when Sandler performed a wildly captivating song in tribute to his late friend (and SNL alum, of course) Chris Farley, who tragically passed in 1997 due to a drug overdose. Sandler made reference to several signature sketches featuring Farley, including "Matt Foley: Van Down By the River", "Chippendales Audition", "Gap Girls", and "Columbian Coffee Crystals", amongst others. Long time fans were reminded of Farley's unique, fearless, and energetic spirit, while new SNL lovers were introduced to the brilliant ways of Farley and the legacy he led.
Overall, Adam Sandler did a masterful job wowing SNL fans with his return. Hopefully he is scheduled to host in the future again, and doesn't remain a stranger to the NBC stage.
