10 Most Popular Ways To Spice Things Up In The Bedroom, According To New Survey
Because we all get bored sometimes.
We all know sex is a blast, but it's also true that it can get boring when you're doing the same moves, saying the same things, and lighting the same candles. If this feels like you, it's about time to spice things up.
According to a OnePoll Sexploration Survey conducted on behalf of lingerie brand Thistle and Spire, there are 10 ways to turn up the heat in your bedroom when you start noticing yourself dozing off while rolling in the sheets. This doesn't mean you and your partner are no longer sexually compatible. It's absolutely normal to start getting accustomed to a routine — even when it comes to the birds and the bees — so bringing some new cards to the table is a part of a healthy relationship.
Before you get it on, here's what the survey respondents say they do to spice things up:
1. Wear lingerie (36 percent)
Lingerie isn't just for your partner, it's also for you. Use it to empower you and your self-confidence. Before you know it, your partner will rip it off your body.
2. Sext during the day (33 percent)
From flirty to downright naughty, surprise your partner midday with a fiery sext and they will be running home.

3. Try a new sexual position (33 percent)
There are so many more positions than your basic missionary, doggie, and cowgirl. Don't knock it 'till you try it. Even if a position doesn't work out, trying something new will be a fresh activity to bring to the sheets.
4. Have sex outside of the bedroom (32 percent)
There's the couch, the kitchen counter, the floor — explore all the options! Maybe even take some risks and get out of the house. Bonus points if you do it in every room.
5. Try a new sexual act (25 percent)
Take some time to explore new kinks with one another. Not only is this a great way to get closer, but you and your partner will also learn more about your personal sexualities. And, the more you learn, the more confident you will feel.
6. Buy a sex toy together (24 percent)
Make a date out of it! Grab dinner and stop at a sex shop before you have dessert at home. **wink wink**

This may seem a little daunting, but watching an adult film or at-home porn can be thrilling. Adding this type of stimulation will boost your hormones. Trust me, you'll be sweating before your clothes are off.
8. Set a romantic scene (22 percent)
Did someone say candles, rose petals, and chocolate-covered strawberries? I'm in.
9. Use a new sex toy (22 percent)
Invite a third-party into your bedroom. Whether it be a vibrator, dildo, butt-plug, handcuffs, or anything else, trust me, it will bring the heat.
10. Give or receive a sexy massage (20 percent)
We all know where a sensual massage will lead to.
8 Ways to tell you're going to have a good day
Good morning, sunshine!
Especially during the Summer, we all expect to wake up and have an ideal day: majority stress-free, exciting, productive, and memorable. But we dread the days that we arrive late to the staff meeting, leave our credit card at home, and have to stop by the grocery store on the way home. Alternatively, most of my best days have followed a few patterns that ensured they would be at least enjoyable. Here are the best (and seemingly minor) characteristics of my best days.
1. Your alarm is your friend.
GiphyAnd by this, I mean, it goes off and I wake up within 3-4 minutes of hearing it. I don't absurdly wake up 30 minutes or more before it goes off, and I don't snooze over and over until it decides to stop reminding me to wake up. It's a gentle, even friendly reminder-- not a nuisance.
2. You're on time
GiphyNo traffic, your gas tank is already full, no fender benders, and you arrive at your destination 5-10 minutes early so you can settle in—whether it be at work, school, lunch plans, etc. This one is the rarest occurrence for me.
3. Your favorite songs are playing
GiphyWhether you're listening to a Daily Mix, or just the radio station, some of your favorite jams will come on the radio within the first few minutes of listening. For me, this includes a wide range of Michael Jackson tunes, to Maroon 5, and maybe even Kenny Chesney and Reba McEntire.
4. None of your coffee spills
GiphyIf you're anything like me, you're a notorious klutz. If the majority of your coffee is either in your mug or your stomach, seems like you've got a pretty good hold on things this morning.
5. It's your designated TV show day.
GiphyWhether you're a Bachelor on ABC Mondays kind of person, or you are watching Dateline NBC on Friday nights, if it's your one day of the week to get your hour of couch collapse in, you're counting down the minutes until you can get back home for this evening's episode.
6. Tomorrow is the weekend, enough said.
Giphy7. It is the weekend.
Giphy8. You have the perfect amount of text messages to wake up to
GiphyBasically, there's a happy medium. If you have no text messages, then no one was thinking of you or had anything they needed/wanted to tell you. However, you could have 20 texts—because there's a family emergency, a local threat, or your co-workers are frantically trying to find a replacement before their shift that starts in 3 and a half hours. Usually, 2-5 messages can mean a friend is wanting to catch up over lunch, a family member is asking how you're doing, and (during the school year) classes are canceled.
So there you have it, take these and make your own list. Notice the small things that make your days fantastic and pay attention to them; don't take them for granted. Because as the saying goes: it's a good day, to have a good day.
