5 Things You Can Do Every Day To Create Some Order In Chaos
Of course being clean sounds like a no-brainer but when it feels like the world is crashing down, cleanliness can get tossed by the wayside.
Everyone at some point or another feels as though their life is in chaos. Whether it's craziness with school, work, family, etc. chaos is chaos and sometimes it feels like things will never settle down. Here are 5 simple tasks you can accomplish every day to help bring some order to your chaotic world.
1. Make your bed
Simple enough. Jump up first thing in the morning and make your bed. It doesn't have to be perfect but accomplishing that tiny task first thing in the morning will give you a calming boost to get through the rest of your day.
2. Drink a glass of water before breakfast
Start your day off hydrated and again- a small accomplishment first thing in the morning gets you going on the right foot.
3. Practice at least 1 minute of mindfulness
Everyone has at least 1 minute they can spare every single day. Set a timer and sit for 1 minute focusing on your breathing and how you're feeling in that moment. The more time you spend practicing mindfulness the more grounded you will feel and the chaos may not seem so...chaotic.
4. Wash your face
Of course being clean sounds like a no brainer but when it feels like the world is crashing down, cleanliness can get tossed by the wayside. When things start to get overwhelming, wash you face, brush your hair, and get a whole new perspective.
5. Pick up after yourself
Instead of throwing your clothes on the floor, throw them in the hamper. Don't leave your shoes in the middle of the floor. Hang your coat on a rack rather than the back of the chair. Decluttering little by little can make your whole world seem just a little more organized.
Life is crazy and full of things you can't control. Take advantage of what you can control (like the things listed above) and hopefully you'll see a little more order.
