The 2018 Green Bay Packers Scare Me Like Never Before

For once, there might be a reason to worry in Wisconsin.

For anyone who knows me, you know that I am a die hard Green Bay Packers fan. I watch every single game, year in and year out, without a question, and cheer until the last second. I've seen the team win the Super Bowl, and I've seen the team win four games. I've seen the highest highs and the lowest lows, but one thing is always certain, there is always hope for this team every off-season.

Last year's team was probably the most disappointing Wisconsin has seen in about a decade. Aaron Rodgers was lost for most of the season due to injury and the team really struggled. The defense was horrific and nothing seemed to click. While Aaron Rodgers may be back for this next season, there are still many reasons to be worried about this team for this season.

To begin, let's talk about the biggest reason we struggle to win championships. Our defense seems to always hurt us during the season, and that prevents us from ever going far into the playoffs. Our defense has loads of talent, but they never seem to be able to make it work on game day. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Clay Matthews, and Mike Daniels lead out defense, but these players always seem to be inconsistent.

Clay Matthews is getting old, and it's starting to show. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix really took a step back with his 2017 campaign after making the Pro Bowl in 2016. And Mike Daniels seems to only get to the quarterback a small percentage of the time. While these players are still good, they aren't great, and that is what this defense is missing. The Packers needed to sign a stud on defense and we failed to do that. I am very worried that this defense will still struggle, even with the new defensive coordinator, and new corner backs.

The next thing that worries me is Aaron Rodgers.

There is no doubt that Aaron Rodgers is the most talented quarterback in NFL history. He can make plays that you only see in Madden. He is fast, strong, smart, and cocky, and it makes for the most entertaining thing ever. The problem comes when you realize he is 34 turning 35 in December. People who don't watch sports may say that he is still very young, which he is, but in sports years, he is old.

His body really took a beating in 2017 and it showed in the amount of games he missed. It doesn't matter how good he is, if he is getting hit, and his body can't handle it, he is screwed. He needs more protection from the offensive line. The best player on earth should not be worried about getting it so hard he misses the season. I am very worried that his age may start to show soon and he will have to retire, and that really scares me because he is my favorite player.

The last thing that scares me are the receivers. The Green Bay Packers got rid of Jordy Nelson, and that kills me. He was a fan favorite, and he was still great. To replace him, the Packers overpaid for an overrated tight end in Jimmy Graham. Graham may be big and strong but he is obviously declining and will not fit as well as I think. Aaron Rodgers makes any receiver look good, but it doesn't make sense to replace greatness with mediocrity.

I love the Packers and I will never stop being a fan. This team is always here for me and I am always here for them. While I am very worried for the team, it doesn't stop me from believing that they are always Super Bowl contenders.Hopefully all of my worries don't come to fruition and I am worried for nothing. Winning another Super Bowl would be amazing.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
