As someone who reads The Odyssey often, I believe the more we can respectfully share our opinions with each other, the better. Though we may not all agree about our views on current events, it is important to share them, and platforms like The Odyssey allow that to happen. It also allows college students easy access to stories about current events they might otherwise miss, which is something that is very important to me. As a history major, I believe the stories of individuals matter and should not be overlooked. So many students tend to think politics and history are not accessible to them for one reason or another. I want to show them that isn't true and that is is important for us to take an active role in society.
