Kathy Suqui

As an engineering and pre-med student, I have great opportunities to conduct research and express myself on musical platforms. However, I do not get as much of a chance to contribute to my campus community through creative writing. My unrequited dream to pursue writing as a career sprang when I was a fourth grader, writing stories about teachers and binding them together with knitting thread and cardboard covers. Throughout my adolescence, I have been exposed to professional journalism through online articles as well as unconventional writing by bloggers on social media. The magic people create when they share relatable posts makes me zealous to progress as a writer. It is an honor to offer a fresh perspective on the college experience through the eyes of a music junkie, curious scientist, and first-generation American.
